CHAPLAIN CHRIS CRAWFORD

Chaplain Chris has 37 years of experience in the ministry and has a Bachelor of Theology, with a Major in Christian Counseling through Promise Christian University.

Chris has 18 years of 'Pastoral experience' Pastoring 3 churches in Southern California.

Chris has served as a Chaplain ministering to Veterans and their Families for 29 years since 1993. Chaplain Chris on a Training Rotation as a guest at Fort Irwin in November of 1995.

We are pleased you have agreed to join us as one of our honored guests for the 9 annual “Salute to Veterans Parade” scheduled in downtown Riverside for Saturday, April 19.

The parade committee was formed in 2005 with the stated purpose of holding an annual parade to honor “veterans of all ages and all eras”. Last year, over 5,000 spectators watched as 140 parade units with hundreds of men, women children marched in honor of our nation’s veterans. This year’s parade promises to be at least as big and will feature 4 marching bands, 2 fife and drum corps, bagpipes, antique military equipment vintage cars, equestrian units, drill teams, floats, elected officials, flyovers, and, of course, veterans - lots of veterans.

Each year the all-volunteer parade committee selects a group of people to honor on our such as Wounded Warriors, Gold Star Mothers military and civilian nurses. Because of their selfless service to veterans throughout the ages, chaplains are this year’s honorees.
